Paolo Freire's Exposure of Non-Neutrality in Philosophy of Education Essay

Paulo Freire has been one of the most influential educationalists of the century. Although many theorists in recent years have focused on the application of Freirean ideas, this article focuses on the philosophy underlying Freire's practice. The author considers the metaphysical, ontological, epistemological and ethical dimensions. The University of San Francisco School of Education hosted a two-night celebration to honor the centennial and legacy of Paulo Freire. This article is an attempt to connect the well-known educational thinking of the Brazilian Paulo Freire with the 'philosophy for children' movement.
