Jesus and the Gospels essay
My thanks to Dr. K Stenberger extends many of the insights in this article. I am also indebted to and highly recommend DA Carson's work on the Gospel of John, especially his complete commentary published in the Pillar series, The Gospel According to John Grand Rapids, MI: Eerdmans, 1991. Andreas J; The Gospel of Luke represents the Synoptic Gospel which has much in common with the Gospels of Mark and Matthew. It tells us about the life of Jesus Christ, his teachings and precepts. The Acts of Luke describes the selfless life of the apostle Luke and that of the other apostles after the resurrection of Christ. We will write a custom essay. The story about the birth of Jesus is in 18-1-23. Matthew traces Jesus' roots back to Abraham to emphasize his role as the Jewish Messiah. Matthew does not record the angel speaking to Mary as Luke does. On the other hand, Luke does not mention that the angel speaks to Joseph in a dream.
