Strengths of the classical or rational approach Marketing essay
1 Introduction. There seems to be a paradox underlying the psychological explanation. The explanation of thoughts and behavior in rational terms is central to psychological theorizing across a wide range of psychological domains and theories, ranging from the rational analysis of memory, categorization, or reasoning expectations. In this chapter we presented two classic approaches in the theory of management and organization: Scientific Management and Human Relations. Scientific Management refers to the first attempts to apply scientific methods to the study of organizations. The latter were conceived as complex mechanisms and their analysis. Scientific Management Theory, also known as Taylorism, is a management approach developed by Frederick W. Taylor with the aim of increasing economic efficiency and labor productivity. It uses scientific methods to analyze work processes and optimize production, emphasizing evidence-based practices to achieve higher productivity.
