This chapter analyzes the results of airport privatization in the United States, describes various models for the role of private companies in airports, examines the major international airports such as IGIA, Indira Gandhi in Delhi, CSIA Chhatrapati Shivaji in Mumbai, Cochin in Kochi, etc. are successful examples of PPP implementation. This research focuses on India's approach to airport privatization, with a specific case study of the privatization of the Indira Gandhi International Airport IGIA in Delhi. The first PPP airport out of the gate was the smaller one, Cochin International Airport CIAL, in the southern state of Kerala. That has been a success story.
