Importance of lyrics in rap music essay
In recent years, hip hop as a genre has exploded in popularity, even surpassing rock's popular reputation. According to Nielsen Music's year-end report, “Hip-hop. of all music consumption in the US - the largest share and the first time it has led the measure in a calendar year. This type of music is considered more informative, lyrical, creative, and representative of a cultural perspective. These are the same reasons why I enjoy listening to this genre. However, this type of music is associated with immorality and social discrimination based on social class. Likewise, these aspects change my taste in rap music.
