The design combines reactive distillation RD and dividing wall separation in a single column. In terms of TAC it is significantly cheaper 42 than the conventional reaction followed by separation. This work first proposes a rigorous process model for the industrial production of cumene hydroperoxide CHP through cumene oxidation. The research scope includes research into process design, optimization and controllability. The research started with an extensive analysis and addition of the required physical properties. The production of cumene is an important intermediate process for the production of phenol and acetone. This article discusses various modeling strategies to solve the mathematical model of the cumene reactor. Five different strategies have been used to solve the partial differential equations obtained during the reduction of mathematics. This article considers as a case study the cumene process Pathak et al. 2011, which provides an interesting example of plant-wide design optimization, subject to some classical engineering skills.
