Learning English in the Vietnamese context English essay




This chapter suggests that the Vietnamese-English educational context provides a suitable case study to explore how English education can contribute. · Reflecting the international context of English education and graduate employability, this chapter zooms in on presenting socio-economic aspects. Much has been written about the benefits of online learning, but few studies examine the perceptions of students learning English as a foreign language EFL. Meanwhile, a large number of workers have to go out and relearn English to adapt to the demands of the market. This is a huge waste of society's resources and it needs to change. II. Too many students in one class: Another challenge for the English teacher in Vietnam is that there are too many students in one class. Most Vietnamese students find it extremely difficult to learn English due to the several differences between this language and their native language. As such, any student who harbors an ambition as an essay writer may have to spend several years learning and perfecting their command of the English language. As a result, English has been the main foreign language taught in Vietnam from third to twelfth grade for almost two decades. However, the English-language educational context in Vietnam has been. Therefore, this article examines Vietnamese EFL learners' lexical collocation errors in their writing essays and their perceptions. Majors at a private university in Vietnam participated in the study. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected, and essays and semi-structured interviews were research tools.
