Expanding the Boundaries of Existing Industries Commercial Essay
This article explores what factors drive digital platform companies to set or change their boundaries. Building on research in economics, strategic management, and information systems, I propose that digital platforms make strategic decisions across three different types of interconnected boundaries: 1 the scope of the platform business which assets are owned, Summary.
