The diversity essay has taken on new meaning in college application packages following the SCOTUS ruling against race-conscious admissions. Affirmative action began as an effort to redress the unequal access to economic and social mobility associated with higher education. But before making a ruling, colleges often receive increasing attention from all stakeholders as the commitment to achieving equal opportunities for women has become a top priority.
