After World War II, an ideological clash called 'Cold War' began between two competing powers: the USA and the USSR. During the Cold War, both states did everything they could to expand their power. The Cold War between the USA and the USSR ended after the collapse of the USSR. The world changed from a bipolar world to a unipolar world, and the US became the sole superpower. Russia's disintegration created several independent Central Asian states, which are still under Russian influence but have the option to switch sides,
