Environmental pollution occurs when changes in the physical, chemical or biological constituents of air masses, temperature, climate, etc. are caused in the environment. Pollutants harm our environment, either by raising levels above normal or by introducing harmful toxins. Primary pollutants are produced directly by marine pollution which is a growing problem in today's world. Our ocean is awash with two main types of pollution: chemicals and waste. Chemical or nutrient pollution is of concern for health, environmental and economic reasons. This type of pollution occurs from human activities, especially the use of fertilizers on farms.
