Water quality status for selected river biology essay

The quality of irrigation water in these areas varied within the areas assessed. In terms of salinity, the water in the upper floodplain is of very good quality and should not pose any problems. The Kelani River is the most polluted river in Sri Lanka and the lower basin is more polluted than the upper basin. In the present study, freshwater fish species from the lower river basin were examined for the purpose of assessing water quality. Cast net sampling and identification of freshwater fish species from brackish water in the Pichavaram area plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the mangrove community. A study was carried out to gain insight into the quality of the dynamics of the surface water. Human activities and climate change threaten water quality in China's rivers. We simulated the monthly concentrations of total nitrogen TN, ammonia-nitrogen NH3-N, and total phosphorus in the river. Water quality often determines the suitability of water use for various purposes. Thus, water quality assessment is important to evaluate the water use potential of any water source. Consumption of clean and safe water has been linked to better health outcomes worldwide2,3. Despite the successes achieved, the abstract threat of heavy metals has increased worldwide, making many water bodies unfit for human consumption. This could be due to the increase in the concentrations of these metals above the natural background. This article provides an overview of the literature data on the variation in water quality in rivers, lakes and former mining ponds,
