However, much of the evidence is based on small-scale studies or in specific healthcare groups 3,4,5,6,7 and evidence of large-scale system change across the country is lacking 8,9,10. Recently, in several regions, in the LMICs of low- and middle-income countries, millions of people die from chronic diseases every year and this number is expected to increase if coordinated measures are not taken. The purpose of this article is to highlight the role and impact of community pharmacists in chronic disease management, occupational health and safety. This arrangement ensures that my employer maintains safety for myself and individuals within our organization. It also ensures that I follow the agreed working methods. Within my organization we have a health and safety policy that is set out in accordance with the occupational health and safety guidelines.
