Enforcing local surveillance systems, improving hygiene practices and sanitation, combined with education programs and vaccination campaigns, where necessary, in vulnerable areas could reduce the impact of Cholera on communities already burdened by conflict, lack of infrastructure, poor health care systems and malnutrition.
