3545. A monumental cinematic achievement, James Cameron's Avatar transcends the boundaries of traditional filmmaking. The project, which emerged during Cameron's work on the Titanic, awaited the technological advancements needed to bring the visionary concept to life. Cameron, working with Vince Pace, began an investigation. In Avatar, the human scientists discover that beneath Hometree, the home of the Na'vi clan, lie the richest deposits of the mineral they prize, and by the end of the film these are ready to destroy it and its inhabitants. This to me is an example of racism in the way the people were willing to treat the Na'vi in order to kill them.
