Governments on Preventing Air Pollution in Colombo Environmental Science Essay
Evaluation of current air quality levels, regulatory standards and scientific literature on indoor and outdoor air pollution and its health impacts are important to identify. Today, it is increasingly recognized that air pollution damages human health. Consequently, efficient mitigation strategies must be implemented for substantial problems. Although air pollution is a global problem, exposure is often not equally distributed. Industrial processes related to the production, trade and consumption of goods. Air pollution in the Colombo district of Sri Lanka is very high. Last November, Colombo district was shrouded in smoke due to air pollution caused by human activities. Air pollution control means the reduction to acceptable levels or the possible elimination of air pollutants whose presence in the air is detrimental to our health or the in urban areas of Sri Lanka during the lockdown imposed in response to the COVID-19 crisis, increased – while plastic pollution can spread and be transported from one region to another distant area. Controlling air pollution means reducing to acceptable: 1. Air pollution refers to the release of harmful gases and chemicals into the air we breathe. 2. Air pollution poses serious risks to the environment and health. 3. It is caused by the release of harmful particles and gases into the air. 4. The causes of air pollution are both natural and man-made. 5. In addition, air pollution appears to have several adverse health effects in early human life, such as respiratory, cardiovascular, mental and perinatal disorders3, leading to infant mortality or chronic diseases in adulthood.6 National reports have noted the increased risk of morbidity and mortality, 1 Air pollution leads to the formation of the ozone layer. Thus, the causes of air pollution include sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia and dust, to name a few. These pollutants adversely affect the environment and the health of all animals. Frumkin's article examines the link between sprawl and health (Frumkin, 2002). Environmental influences include air pollution, heat, physical activity patterns, traffic accidents, fatalities and injuries, water quantity and quality, mental well-being and social investments. People are not equally affected by sprawl, and the effects of air pollution on human health. Air pollution has negative effects on human health. Breathing polluted air puts you at greater risk of asthma. When exposed to ozone in the ground, people suffer from respiratory infections for hours. Damages the immune system, endocrine system and reproductive system.
